Meet Our Team

Dr. Jon C. Packman wouldn’t be able to help you receive comprehensive dental care in Statesville, North Carolina, if it weren’t for his friendly, hard-working dental team. Our team has worked together for over 14 years, and we love to laugh and joke around with our dentist and patients. As a dental practice, our goal is to make our patients feel comfortable as we help you receive the dental care that is right for your smile. We welcome you to read our biographies to learn more about us, and we also invite you to contact our office for more information. We are eager to speak with you soon!

Jon C. Packman, DDS

Member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Greater Charlotte Study Club (part of the Seattle Study Club), Iredell County Dental Society, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Board of Directors, Smile for a Lifetime, Lake Norman Chapter

After graduating from Wake Forest University in 1991, I attended UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. I have continued my dental education through The Dawson Academy, LD Pankey Institute, The Nash Institute, and Triangle Dental Institute. My goal is to give my patients the best possible care by attending monthly educational meetings through the Seattle Study Club and remaining up-to-date on dental equipment and procedures. I am always learning, upgrading, and improving, and that dedication is evident the moment patients walk into our office.

I have had the privilege of working as a dentist for over 16 years. As a dentist, I enjoy the opportunity to meet with patients one-on-one in order to get to know them better and understand their dental goals. To ensure everyone in Statesville, North Carolina, has the opportunity to receive quality dental care, I take the time during appointments to discuss treatment options and help patients find treatment plans that fit their specific needs. Whether it is routine dental procedures or very complex restorative and cosmetic mouth rehabilitations, I have the experience and training to help you have a beautiful, healthy smile.

My wife, Beth, and I have two beautiful children, Kendall and Brad. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and participating in anything outdoors or on the water, especially fishing, mountain biking, wake surfing, waterskiing, and hiking. I hope to spend my retirement days as a snow ski instructor or mountain guide in Colorado.

LuAnne Stone—Receptionist

I just celebrated my 40th anniversary as a dental receptionist! I attended South Iredell and West Iredell High School and completed the medical assistant course through Mitchell College. I am also x-ray certified and have now been working with Dr. Jon C. Packman for 14 years.

I have been married to my husband, Greg, for 39 years and have one son, Chris, and two grandsons, Peyton and Will. I enjoy being involved by teaching kindergarten, Sunday School, and singing in choir. I like to read, play cards, and bake—especially to make my AMAZING yeast rolls and red velvet cake!

Melanie Griffith—Registered Dental Hygienist

I have been part of Dr. Jon C. Packman’s dental team since July 2002. I’m a registered dental hygienist and graduated from Catawba Valley Community College. I believe that this career is my calling because I have been interested in cleaning teeth since I was ten years old. I enjoy helping others and being able to educate them while still feeling like I’m having fun. It is nice for me to look forward to the workday rather than dread it; I love my job! I have three children. I teach Sunday School at my church and am also a Room Mom at my kids’ school. When away from the office, I love spending time with my family and doing craft projects.

Maggie Wagoner—Registered Dental Hygienist

I have enjoyed working in dental hygiene since 1993, when I graduated from Armstrong State College in Savannah, Georgia and became a registered dental hygienist. In 2002, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Christian ministry at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Though I recently joined the team, I worked with Dr. Packman in 2000 at another office. I am excited to work with him again, and I look forward to many more years as part of this friendly and energetic team. I have been married to a wonderful man for 25 years. We have two beautiful daughters, one adorable Miniature Schnauzer, and a few fish. I enjoy doing many things with my family like traveling, sightseeing, exercising, reading, and watching old movies.

Melissa Boyd—Dental Assistant (DAII)

I have been working in dentistry for 39 years and joined Dr. Jon C. Packman’s practice more than 11 years ago. I graduated from North Iredell High School and earned my x-ray certification at Rowan Tech. I am also licensed in life, health, and disability insurance.

In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym, gardening (especially flowers), reading, and hosting gatherings with friends and family. I am married to my husband, Brad, and could not love my special rescue dog any more than I do—Charlie, a Jack Russell Terrier mix.

LeAnn Lee— Certified Dental Assistant & Front Desk Receptionist

I have been working with Dr. Jon C. Packman for 14 years and have been in dentistry for more than 18 years. I graduated from North Iredell High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College, where I earned my Dental Assistant II—Coronal Polishing certification. I love to help people and make their experience here a great one. I also love the people I work with at our office.

I have one son, Tristan, and enjoy being a baseball mom to the North Piedmont Bomb Squad and Statesville Dirt Devils. I am also a Webelos II co-leader and enjoy watching baseball and reading in my free time.

Beth Packman—Office Manager

I have been married to Dr. Jon C. Packman for 23 years and have been our office manager for 14 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in speech communications from Wake Forest University and my Master of Business Administration from Clemson University. I worked in marketing and advertising before having my two children, Brad and Kendall. I spend a lot of time volunteering with children and the public school system. In fact, my husband says I’m a “professional volunteer!”

I am on the Board of Directors for Crosby Scholars of Iredell County and for Our Schools First. I am the president of the Lake Norman chapter of Smiles for a Lifetime, a room parent at Woodland Heights Elementary (and have been for too many years to count), and have been the PTSO president at Mt. Mourne School for two years. I also consider myself a taxi driver—I put a TON of miles on my car each year driving my kids to activities. I love to cook, and therefore I love to exercise so I can eat! I also love to travel and have lived in Venice, Italy, and Landstuhl, Germany.
